Program ledger

This ledger is the standard we hold ourselves to: valley name, altitude range in metres, nights, group cap, season window, transfer time from Ivano-Frankivsk airport, and price band. Nothing is left to interpretation.

Trail conditions and amenity availability can change a program: late October can bring the first snow to the high cols, which may shorten walking days or move them to lower paths. We confirm the final daily plan two weeks before arrival.

Inclusions and exclusions

Each program is quoted as a ledger line, not a bundle. Below is the standard line shared by all four seasonal programs. Where a program differs, the difference is written into that program row.

Included in every program

  • +Accommodation for the stated nights in the valley named in the program row, double room with private bathroom.
  • +Breakfast and dinner from the house kitchen, with one meat-free main at each dinner.
  • +Recreational amenities: sauna, plunge tub, quiet room, and the marked walking routes from the door.
  • +One guided valley walk per stay, at an easy pace, with a guide who reads trail conditions daily.
  • +Return transfer from Ivano-Frankivsk airport or the town bus station, at the hour stated in the row.
  • +One 50-minute massage per stay, booked on the day of arrival.

Not included

  • −Travel to Ivano-Frankivsk, and travel insurance.
  • −Lunches, and drinks beyond the table water served at dinner.
  • −Extra massages, private sauna hours, additional nights.
  • −Transport to trailheads outside the valley, plus any lift or park fees.
  • −Single-room supplement, where a single room is free.

Snow cover, trail conditions and sauna or plunge tub maintenance can move a scheduled item; when that happens we swap in a comparable activity in the same valley and tell you the day before. Read the season caveat or send the enquiry form.

What the season usually brings

The figures below are typical bands for the Carpathian valleys we use, not a forecast. They are the range we plan around, and the range we quote when confirming a program window.

Spring, April to May
8–16 °CTrails soft above 1,200 m; lower valley walks usually clear.
Summer, June to August
14–24 °CWarm days, cooler evenings, afternoon storms possible.
Autumn, September to October
6–18 °CClear ridge views early in the season; first snow possible late October.
Winter, December to March
−8–2 °CSnow cover varies by altitude; lower paths can be icy.

One honest change caveat Weather, trail conditions and amenity availability can change the order or content of a program. If a sauna session, walking route or transfer has to move, we confirm the substitution in writing before arrival, and the exact quote is confirmed in writing before any payment.
